ive seen a sizable number of "actors" in ratings section on multiple forums, the fruaded angles, the horrendous faces just to look somewhat mtn, i see it as a comedy
As we know, looksmaxxing is a purely superficial and apparent philosophy, if we dont have thus a pure picture showing what you lack and dont lack, then its useless rating a pic with multiple filters and whatnot, i find it 10x more difficult to rate people with those theatrics, because its 1)showing you dont take looksmaxxing seriously, 2)along with your lack of iq points for this philosophy
expanding on point 1), why could this be a sign that you dont take lm seriously, well because you the person and we the viewers and raters need a pure unfrauded unfiltered, picture, for a reference when you ascend in teh future or just for a timeline pic to see what you still can improve and whatnot
the main focus of this thread is focal length, the rest(aparture; working distance) are just versions of focal length imo
Lens theory is that the higher the focal length, the better you look, and the ideal focal length in most cases is 100mm, and the oposite can also be true, as the lower the focal length, the worse the subject looks, this theory also proves the phenomena that you can look better in some photos rather then others, and also the phenomena that most people look better in photos then real life
The common focal length of phones is 24-26 mm, so if you want to use focal length frauding, it would be ideal to tweak your phone's zoom option to 4x or 5x. Be wary of tweaking this, as it can especially degrade your picture quality if you are on an older phone
The frontal | camera should be the rear main camera, without tweaking anything(the zoom level should be at 1x), be at eye level, a blank neutral expression should be given, all features should be visible(hairline included), a straight natural relaxed posture, as well as a white or more or less plain background to yourself, no pic editing should be done, it WILL be called out and dealt with, keep in mind no upwards looking or downwards looking is allowed that would be frauding remember to always check your frontals before posting to make sure it fits the requirements
Tip to achieve the desired picture is to use a sort of tripod setup that meets right at your eyes
The side profile | this is always more complicated than the frontal because it requires some technicality, the golden standard of taking an objective side profile is the Frankfurt horizontal plane, setup is more or less the same as the first one, that you use a tripod, but the tripod should meet at your tragion-orbitale line
A visual demonstration would be useful to see this in a better lens
eg. of the frankfurt horizontal plane

This one is unideal because the tragion-orbitale line isnt parallell to the ground--
